Ethiopian Israeli Leaders in the News

Ethiopian Israeli leaders from two outstanding organizations were in the U.S. recently speaking to the American Jewish Community.  Tebeka-Advocacy for Equality and Justice for Ethiopian Israelis and Olim Beyahad-Employment and Leadership for Ethiopian Israeli University Graduates were recognized by American Jewish major organizations such as AIPAC, large Federations and other groups.

Tebeka Director Fentahun Assefa-Dawit was a key speaker at the recent AIPAC conference in Washington DC.   He also spoke to the Israel Project’s leaders and with many federations around the U.S.  Read more about this and other Tebeka news, here:  News From Tebeka

 

 

Sigal Kanotopsky,   CEO of Olim Beyahad, was also in the U.S. speaking at major Jewish federations and the Counsel General of Israel to New England in Brookline, Massachusetts at Congregation Kehillath Israel.   Sigal spoke about  the Ethiopian Israeli community living in Israel today and the progress that has been made better integrating this community into Israeli society over the last several years.   To learn more about Olim Beyahad’s ground-breaking work,  click here.     Or watch their great video summarizing their achievements in 2016,  here.
