Keren Hanan Aynor

Keren Hanan Aynor provides scholarships to Ethiopian-Israelis in universities, graduate schools, and technical colleges.

Chaired by Pnina Agenhayu, KHA works to empower a new generation of Ethiopian-Israelis to excel and flourish in Israeli society.

Founded in 1994 in memory of Hanan Aynor (z”l), the Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia in 1971-73, Karen Hanan Aynor (KHA) has awarded over 5,000 scholarships to 3,000 students in more than 90 disciplines.

Tech-Career

Tech-Career offers Ethiopian-Israeli young adults professional technological training, personal development workshops and job placement services.

 

Tech-Career’s combined training programs offer participants the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge, experience and skills to succeed in Israeli high tech industries, to develop their careers and to make the transition from economic dependence to independence.

Founded in 2003, 83% of Tech-Career's graduates are employed in Israeli high tech industries in numerous positions. Tech-Career provides its participants with a number of educational and professional advantages, including: 

 

  • Courses in software development, software quality assurance (SQA). 

  • External job placement for graduates.

  • Mechina - a program to prepare students for computer science tracks in universities and technological programs.

  • Graduates Forum - Tech-Career's active alumni association provides support and community to graduates.

Bridging the Digital Divide

Bridging the Digital Divide provides Ethiopian-Israeli youth with high-level technological training, STEM-focused academic support, and personal empowerment through education.

The program offers participants the opportunity to develop practical digital skills, improve academic performance in science and technology, and build a foundation for future careers in Israel’s tech industry.

 

Launched as a joint initiative by the Beta Israel Business Community (BIBC) and YaizY (Algorithmics Israel), the program focuses on closing the digital gap between Ethiopian-Israeli children and their peers. Participants benefit from small group learning, ongoing instructor support, and access to an interactive, project-based curriculum.

 

Bridging the Digital Divide offers a variety of educational opportunities, including:

  • Courses in Computer Science, Python Programming, Web Development, Animation, and Game Development.

  • Weekly 90-minute in-person sessions with continuous engagement. 

  • Two-semester programs with 20 sessions per semester and a class size of 15 students.

  • Project-based learning methods and self-paced digital platform access.

  • Focused preparation for high school STEM subjects and future tech careers.
